Good uses for two minutes
Two minutes is the sweet spot for micro-tasks: long enough to do them properly, short enough that you will not put them off.
- A two-minute breathing or grounding exercise
- Holding a plank or a stretch
- Brushing teeth for the recommended time
- A quick tidy-up sprint or inbox skim
Running a clean two-minute countdown
- Press Start and let the timer hold the time so you can focus on the task.
- Keep the tab open in the background — it still finishes and can alert you.
- Go fullscreen when you want the number large and glanceable.
- Reset to repeat the same two-minute block.
